What's the best way to store wood?

Stack your wood in a dry, well-ventilated place such as a lean-to or the garden shed. Laying pallets underneath is a good idea and will help ensure good ventilation.

If you buy firewood, put it in a dry place straightaway, protected from the rain. The best time to buy wood is therefore in the summer.
